The end

I liked this experience writing a blog, I´ve never done this before, sharing all this experiences and thoughts,  in my opinion is a very good activity, and help us to go out of conventional methods, is so good take advantage of the new instruments we have in the actuality.

I noticed we express so different in English, was nice knowing another part of me,  and I´m so thanked about having this experience, even I feel my skills writing have improved. 

Maybe in the future would be good to include music in the classroom, and repeating the karaoke  will  be fun!

Subjects

My first semester in this career was so exciting, because I met a lot of new people, and i did so much things I´ve never done before, like calculate a gradient and work so deeply with maps.
I have  seven subjects this semester, some are very humanistic, and others are basic science. I dont know which was my favorite, because everyone has something I like, less cartography, the professor makes me feel disappointed  about the university, because he is such an awful teacher, always talking about himself , I hate his classes. Physics its had for me, because I didn't  have a good basis, but the good thing, is the teacher is good so I ´m trying to be better.
Maybe my favorite subject is Geografía Física, because is so exciting understand everything around us, the process and phenomenons. I had three teachers along this subject, each one has an specific study  area , and they teach us about it. I like it because is more empirical than all the others subjects, so we have trips to different places and we do field study.
In my opinion, this subject is  important to the career, because is the beginning and the mother of a lot of subjects we are going to study all along the career. Is so exciting think about all we are going to study, like volcanoes and rivers, and how works the earth´s mechanism.

The wave

There are so many places I´d like to visit, the closer are  Punta Arenas  and San Pedro de Atacama, but there are others places like, Cuba or Belice  in Central America, also I like to go to Europe and travel all around the old continent, and eat every kind of food.
But my dream place to go now it´s called The wave, is in the Arizona desert, near to the Great Canyon in Colorado  who is located in USA, North America. In this place, the ground and the mountains are red, or orange, because of the erosion.
I´d like to go with my boyfriend, who is also my best partner in every adventure I´d been done in my short life.
It was hard to choose only one place I´d like to visit, because I wanna go all around the world, travelling and meeting  new people, and cultures.

A Photograph I like

Photographs tells stories, they talk about whats happening when you took it. I like watch photographs and remember everything about them. That´s why I love taking pictures, because help me to remember happy moments, and little details that sometimes we forgot.
I took this picture, on my 2015 vacation, I was travelling the Chile-Argentina´s south. this location, is near to Bariloche, in Argentina, and it show us the Nahuel Huapi lake.
I love this picture because I was so happy when I was there, when I took it. The green mountains, and the sky reflex on the lake, everything is so pure and beautiful. It make me feel reborn.

My Favorite piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology is the camera, because it helps me to watch the world from a  different view, I can see all kind of details, and stare into the simple nature´s beauty.
When I started to interest for taking pictures, my father give it to me an old Zenit camera, it has a film, and its kind of professional because its all manual, its hard to use it. Later, my boyfriend give me and old instant Polaroid camera, snap photos and develop in front of your eyes, its awesome, its seems the pictures was taken years ago.
The only thing I don´t like about this cameras, is I cannot use it all the days, because is too expensive buy the film or the photographic paper, this last one its hard to find, because my camera is discontinued. So the mobile phone it´s a great friend sometimes helping me to take pictures and saving the moments, but there is one thing I don´t like about the mobile phone, the people tend to depend of this object,  and lost a lot of precious time stare it at.
When I was younger and my mobile phone was broken, I felt so free, because my parents wouldn't call me all the time, and I stayed all the time I want just whit my thoughts.
 I think its good sometimes, stay relax and get away from all technology stuff, just to watch the world  and live.  

Why did I choose Geography?

When I was younger  people asked me what i will study, I always said different things, like Arts, Literature, Psychology, this  was the last career I   liked before choose Geography.

My parents always teach me to be critical whit all kind of stuff, like the why of things or the history behind the facts. So I notice that a lot of things was wrong in our country, like the centralism of services, or the social and economic inequality, things like that, is very sad to know that the kids in almost all the public schools may not be able to be here, in the future, because their education was so bad and poor.

I meet a friend of my father, and she is Geographer, she show me what a geographer do, like land use planning, earthquake study and a lot of other areas. I notice the career i so complete, and gives the tools to change things by public politic or planning the territory, preventing damages in case of natural disasters and a lot of other things. 

My autobiography c:

I was born in 1996, in Santiago, Chile. I grew up in that place too. I have two brothers, and three step sisters. I studied in Colegio Lincoln College, Colegio Santo Cura de Ars and Liceo Número uno de niñas Javiera Carrera, in this final place I had so many good times and a lot of good friends.
When I took the PSU I was so nervious that the result was not what i thought it be. I went to Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaiso and studied Geography, to see if I like to study that in Santiago, I fall in love with the carrer,but I missed a lot my family and friends, so I give the PSU again to study in Santiago. I enter in Universidad de Chile and when I saw the results I knew that a friend I meet in Valparaíso, is my classmate  here.
 I like study here, is so peaceful and is near to everything, like museums, libraries, parks. The people is so different and interesting, they come from a lot of parts in Chile and over the world. It seems that the theachers love what they do, and is good for us, that made me feel push to give the best of me.
I´m Virgo, My favorite color is cobalt blue or emerald green. I love cook, and also eat. My favorite meal is pasta, like lasagna, ravioli, spaghetti and vegetables cooked like chapsui. I don´t like sweet things. I like painting, writing, take pictures, read, my favorite autor is Julio Cortázar,  also I like go out whit friends and my boyfriend, also i like travel. I´d like to travel all over the world and visit a lot of cultures, take a lot of photos and eat exotic meals.
